God graciously raised me with loving missionary parents in the former Zaire. Growing up overseas, attending boarding school, and seeing my parent’s heart to disciple Africans, has largely shaped who I am today. Unfortunately I strayed from these positive influences for a few years. God mercifully showed me what I was doing. I began attending John Brown University and re-met my amazingly gifted husband, Scott. (We attended the same boarding school for some elementary years.) I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I taught full time for 4 years until God blessed us with our first child. It was during this time that God slowly worked on our hearts to surrender to His call. We prayed for the Holy Spirit’s prompting an excitement in our hearts for an unreached area. That’s when we read TEAM’s write-up on Chad, and both had an amazing passion in our hearts for these people. God has allowed us to work in country the last 7 years.
Suz loves outdoor activities, exercising, cooking, crafts, and caring for the family.
I’m married to wonderful husband, Scott. God graced our home with 5 fun-loving children. Audrey (12), Selah (10), Mahlia (8), Micah (6), and Shiloh (3)
Our team?s vision is to establish an indigenous, reproducible group of believers. With this goal, all of what we do falls under making friends for His Name Sake. Bringing medical and dental teams and clean water has made huge inroads into villages for the Word to be sown.
As a mother and wife, much of what I do is a support role, while making endless pots of strong, hot, sweet tea. However, God has allowed me many ministry opportunities with cooking, teaching and studying the Word with ladies, helping the sick that come to our door, and even teaching reading. I home school most mornings and spend many afternoons and weekends visiting women, studying Truth or sharing stories.
Primary Prayer Request:
Pray that our home would be a sweet fragrance to all those around and to those who enter in.
