I grew up in rural eastern Oregon in a farming and ranching family. Though I never had any desire to serve as a missionary or pursue agriculture the Lord has given my and incredible heart for both the physical and spiritual needs of the developing world.
I came to Christ when I was four years old on my moms lap. I do not remember any specifics from that time, but from that moment I have had a deep and unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior. The Lord continues to grow me in my faith and understanding of my need for salvation. As my understanding grows so does my desire to share the joy of Christ with others.
Through a series of provisions that I was completely unaware of the Lord directed me to TEAM and to the wonderful country of Zimbabwe. I am now in the preparation phase of developing a support base so that I may serve the people of Zim long term.
Songa (shorthair pointer)
Agriculture development is the broad mandate that I have been given. What this looks on the ground will evolve as we go. Regardless of the location or specific agriculture practice the aim is always to build Christ centered relationships.
I will be working primarily with the Shona people of Zimbabwe. Shona is not only the people group but the heart language of the majority of those who live within Zimbabwe. I will also be working with fellow TEAM missionaries and the agricultural community at large.
All of these folks are familiar with great hardships in life. All bear the image of God. All are loved by God.
Primary Prayer Request:
Pray that I will invest my time wisely as I build my support partners here in the states.
Pray that I continually strengthen my relationship with Lord and keep my relationship with Him as the center of everything that I do.
