Field Experience:

The Hannas began their missionary careers in 1978. After one year of language study in Costa Rica, Bob and Sandy went to Venezuela. They spent their first two years there working with the Christian Education Department of a TEAM-related church organization called OVICE. They led workshops in churches throughout Venezuela.

In 1981 my husband, Bob began teaching New Testament and Greek at the Evangelical Seminary in Maracay. While a professor of New Testament, Bob also did research and wrote in depth Bible study helps for pastors and students as well as discipleship Bible study materials for new Christians. Three of these Bible study books have been published by the Baptist Spanish Publishing of which received the Gold Medallion Book of the Year Award.

Ministry Focus:

Leadership training and church development through (Desarrollo Cristiano B?blico)

My main role involves Web design & maintenance, IT work, secretarial & registrar well as counseling.

The Latin Leadership Development has as its objective to help Hispanic pastors and other church leaders do the following:

- Study the Bible more adequately,

- Interpret it more accurately,

- Apply what it teaches more consistently,

- Communicate its message more effectively.

This is accomplished through 2 means:

- 100 free online Bible studies in Spanish for individual and small group use (comes with a student manual and a leader?s guide). During 2012 over 2.5 million Bible studies were downloaded in over 100 countries around the world.

- A series of 10 interactive online courses in Spanish on How to study the Bible.
