Robert Hanna

My Story

Robert Hanna & my wife, Sandra are missionaries to help train Hispanic pastors and church leaders by means of online courses and Bible studies through DCB (Desarrollo Cristiano Bíblico - www.estudiosDCB.org)

Home Area: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Home Church:

Blythefield Hills Baptist Church, Rockford, Michigan

Education:

Grand Rapids Baptist College, Grand Rapids, Michigan (B.R.E. – Bible) Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois (M.A. – New Testament)

Call:

Bob had finished seminary and was looking for teaching opportunities when God began to direct him toward missions through a realization of the needs existing overseas.

Field Experience:

The Hannas began their missionary careers in 1978. After one year of language study in Costa Rica, Bob and Sandy went to Venezuela. They spent their first two years there working with the Christian Education Department of a TEAM-related church organization called OVICE. They led workshops in churches throughout Venezuela.

In 1981 Bob began teaching New Testament and Greek at the Evangelical Seminary in Maracay. While a professor of New Testament, Bob also did research and wrote in depth Bible study helps for pastors and students as well as discipleship Bible study materials for new Christians. Three of these Bible study books have been published by the Baptist Spanish Publishing House...one of which received the Gold Medallion Book of the Year Award.

Bob & Sandy are presently working with Custodio López and Ernesto Ochoa in an online training ministry called Desarrollo Cristiano Bíblico (www.estudiosDCB.org)
