As an angry teenager, Jesus grabbed my heart and taught me the need to walk with Him daily for peace and contentment. Through His love and grace, I endured nursing school, received the blessing of marriage through an incredible husband, three wonderful sons and now serving God in Papua. As a child, it was my dream to become a “missionary nurse” and now I am serving Him in that capacity. Praise God!
Dan (Husband), 3 sons: Benjamin, Noah, and Daniel
There are three ministry focuses that I am involved in Merauke, Papua. First, at the indigenous Papuan Bible School, I provide basic medical care, health education and just hanging out with the kids and students? wives. At the community center, started by another TEAM missionary, I teach English to great group of fun, but rowdy, teenagers! Thirdly, I participate in AWANA by listening to the kids recite the required memory verses. While they are reciting God?s Word, I am praying that God?s Word will never depart from their heart.
Primary Prayer Request:
At the indigenous Bible school, our prayer is that the students would return to their village as a light for Jesus and be able to withstand the darkness that prevails. At the community center, it is our prayer that the teachers and staff be a light for Jesus through kindness and positive relationships. At AWANA, it is our prayer that the children will have God?s Word sewn into the hearts through their lives and never depart from His Word.
